We thought it best to update you on the refurbishment and closure plans from Summer 2011 onwards as per the information and updates we currently have with us.
Riverina Hotel, Club Palm Garden and Tropical Villas Beruwela
These three (03) Resorts are to be amalgamated as one complex with comprehensive redesign and upgrade to interior, etc. to a truly international 4 star level incorporating the brand standards of a reputed international hotel operator/chain.
The proposed new complex will include a state of the art convention center, banquet facilities for a capacity of 1,000 persons, extensive sports and recreation facilities, a diverse range of accommodation, full equipped spa, entertainment complex and more.
With the extent of work involved for this new complex, is unlikely that the Resorts will be available for Winter 2012/13 as we had initially planned.
Club Palm Garden Location
Located along the South West Coast of Sri Lanka, approximately 96km away from the International Airport in Katunayake is Club Palm Garden. The beautiful golden sands of Beruwela beckon you to enjoy a fun filled holiday at the hotel.
About Beruwela City
Location
Beruwala is located 55 km south of Colombo in the western coastal belt.
Reaching Beruwala
Beruwala can be reached by main Colombo-Galle motor road (A2) as well as by Colombo-Galle-Matara southern railway line.
Beginning from Beruwala, Sri Lanka's south western and southern beaches spread along the coastal belt for 205 km till it reaches 2 km long beach of Rekawa, 10 km east of Tangalla.
Beruwala Town
Both the railway station and bus station are in the city center of Beruwala. The stretch of Beruwala resort and guest houses begins 2km south of the town.
Beruwala Beach
Beruwala's broad and attractive beach called "Golden Mile" is well protected with security guards. Still Beruwala is a poor cousin of Renowned Bentota next door.

Beruwala's accommodation options range form four star international class resort hotels to budget guest houses.
Altugama: transportation hub
Aluthgama, the city immediately south of Beruwala and immediately north of Bentota Beach resort town, is the major transportation hub of the region.
