We thought it best to update you on the refurbishment and closure plans from Summer 2011 onwards as per the information and updates we currently have with us.
Riverina Hotel, Club Palm Garden and Tropical Villas Beruwela
These three (03) Resorts are to be amalgamated as one complex with comprehensive redesign and upgrade to interior, etc. to a truly international 4 star level incorporating the brand standards of a reputed international hotel operator/chain.
The proposed new complex will include a state of the art convention center, banquet facilities for a capacity of 1,000 persons, extensive sports and recreation facilities, a diverse range of accommodation, full equipped spa, entertainment complex and more.
With the extent of work involved for this new complex, is unlikely that the Resorts will be available for Winter 2012/13 as we had initially planned.

A two story building which is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens houses 140 rooms providing guests lovely views of the Indian Ocean, the pool and the garden. Each room comes with a spacious patio or balcony while amenities include individually controlled air-conditioning, an attached bathroom with hot or cold water, piped music, a telephone and a fan.
Club Palm Garden Facilities
The main restaurant of the hotel offers guests buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Special theme evenings are celebrated here transforming the dining room with suitable decor. A center of action, the Pavilion lounge bar provides an atmosphere for both relaxing and socializing, with DJ music, live bands and animation shows. Special cocktails and a selection of local and foreign alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages can be enjoyed. The "Bay Watch" pool bar is a fine spot for guests to enjoy delectable snacks and cool drinks.
Club Palm Garden is also an ideal venue for conferences, meetings and special events. The hotel staff will assist you in arranging and executing your event successfully.
For recreational purposes, Club Palm Garden includes a large fresh water swimming pool with a special children's pool while a game of tennis and a round of mini golf can be enjoyed as a shared facility with the Riverina Hotel. The fitness centre for shaping up is also situated between both hotels for guests use.
Other facilities include 24 hour room service and a children's play area.
